Chamkarmon

In the South of central Phnom Penh lies Chamkarmon. Within this district is the finest prime real estate the country’s capital has to hold.

Expatriates flocks to this district as it incorporates everything that resembles life at home. It encompasses the CBD, some of the city’s most historic tourist sites, the finest restaurants, chic cafes and bars and the finest nightlife and entertainment.

Living in Chamkarmon

Chamkarmon has a plethora of upscale restaurants, bars, cafes, nightclubs, shopping, markets, businesses, schools and malls.

Chamkarmon Residential Real Estate

Chamkarmon is south of Daun Penh and is the original prime district for expats.

Formerly home to the very popular Boeung Keng Kang communes of I, II and III, Olympic, Tuol Svey Prey I and II.  The seven communes were drawn into a new district named Boeung Keng Kang in 2019.

But in no way should this take away from the history of the district. As of yet, no other area within Phnom Penh has attracted more investment, although that may be an outgoing statistic given the volume of money piling into the city to create new districts with their commercial and high-end residential hubs.

The area still has the highest concentration of completed serviced apartments geared toward foreign investors looking to rent or buy.

In the past, Chamkarmon was heavily loaded with villas and tree-lined streets, but things have changed. Now we see more high rise and high-density residential options as the districts hold something for everyone if they move to work in Phnom Penh.

The developers are from reputable companies with vast experience in Singapore, Hong Kong and China, offering premium facilities and amenities.

Chamkarmon Tourism
